Dr. Joanne Leung’s focus is to provide both the best dental treatment and experiences to children. By providing many distractions and attractions to children, Dr. Joanne attempts to make dental experiences fun for her patients. She only recommends what she thinks is the best to her patients. The goal of Dr Joanne and her team is to make both the parent and children happy and satisfied when leaving her office.
Dr. Joanne grew up in Southern California and completed her undergraduate education at UC Berkeley double majoring in Molecular Cell Biology and Economics. She received her dental degree at University of Southern California and was one of the few students being selected on the Dean’s List. After graduation, she practiced as a general dentist for two years and gained expertise in performing procedures including root canals, third molar extractions, and crowns, etc. From her work experience, she realized that she enjoys treating children the most. She went on to complete her advanced training in Pediatric Dentistry at the world renowned University of California at San Francisco and Children Hospital, Oakland, as well as earning a Master of Science Degree in Oral and Craniofacial Science at UCSF.
Dr. Joanne is a board certified Pediatric Dentist, and is a member of California Society of Pediatric Dentistry, American Association of Pediatric Dentisty, Tri-County Dental Society, California Dental Association, and American Dental Association.
Dr. Joanne is a part of the Faculty of Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. She enjoys teaching dental students and pediatric dental residents.
